Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood

The year was 1864, several years after the McCall Brothers Ray and Thomas abandoned the army during the civil war to go protect home to their family farm from the North. But they soon learn that their mother has died. Now they must go to Mexico with their younger brother William, to search for a legendary treasure that may or may not exist, so that they may build a new home for their family. But along the way you will be faced against gangs, Indians, and a small army of Confederate soldiers, led by your former general that promised to kill any abandoners of the Confederacy.

Gameplay was pretty basic and you'll learn how to do just about everything in the first chapter, so you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. Aiming is easy, even without the aim bot, but aim bot can be turned on at any time. The game was like a mix of Army of Two and Red Dead Redemption. The game is like Red Dead Redemption because it is a very Western based game and continues on into Mexico. But also because of the looks towns, buildings, and characters are all good examples. The game also includes horseback riding, but does not have a wide variety of horses. but one thing that's similar are the side missions. Both games have wanted posters or one thing that's similar is a protection job. Although in Red Dead Redemption they aren't exactly side missions they are more of just bonuses. The game is also similar to Army of Two because it gives you the option to choose between two characters. And both characters have their own specialties. For example Ray uses a lasso to get to places Thomas can't, and Ray uses dynamite to blow down doors that Ray can't open.
Details in this game were really good including characters, backgrounds, buildings, horses, and weapons. There was a wide variety of background characters and enemies, and all of the looked great. Like I mentioned earlier, there was not a wide variety of horses in the game but they were all great. Backgrounds and building also looked great, but some textures on things like wooden stairs weren't as good. There also was a wide variety of guns, each one was different. From Throwing Knives to Crossbows this game gives you a wave of weapons to use to help combat you in your quest to find the Aztec gold. Guns are a big part of this, all of the weapons look very realistic, and you can really tell the difference between a Rusty Rifle and a Superb Rifle, even shotgun shells and bullets look good.
The voice-overs were probably the some of the best I've seen, all the actors did a great job of portraying all the accents for the characters. The voice actors for Ray and Thomas did a great job of sounding very South Western.
There weren't many dislikes except for two things. One thing was that there was no co-op campaign. And the second thing I didn't like was that it takes to many bullets to kill an enemy.
There is Online Mutiplayer, where you can do several different missions with friends at numerous places. There is also DLC's for Call of Juarez to unlock Secret Missions.
But overall the game was good, but it was not the best western game I've ever played, but it would belong on my Top Ten best western games. It had good graphics, story, and sound and I think it deserves a 4 out of 5.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2

Starkiller is dead, and Darth Vader has had many tries, and many failed attempts to clone him. But finally he thought he had perfected it, but then he escaped. Now you must lay as Starkiller's clone once again, find Juno Eclipse and learn your real name. The has changed quite a bit, but it's still the same person, and the same motivation, Juno. the actor that portrays Starkiller is a really good actor and has also done some work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars as Darth Maul.
The game does come with a new feature which allows you to have 2 lightsabers which can be customised in their own unique way.
I rate this game a 4 out of 5 because the graphics have gotten a lot better, and the game is pretty good.

Batman: Arkham City ~ Harley Quinn's Revenge

After the tragic death of The Joker, Harley Quinn goes into a deep depression, and becomes even crazier than she was. She then came up with a plan to Batman hostage, and get her revenge. But there's one thing she didn't take into account for, Robin. Now you get the chance to play as Robin, stop Haley Quinn, and save Batman.
Personally this is one DLC I'm really glad came came out, because it finally gives you the chance to play as Robin in story mode. But there's a catch you can't really free roam around Arkham City, and you only get to play as Robin for some parts, but you do get to pick between one of the 3 downloadable costumes only if you've downloaded them, and you can only wear one of the outfits after you've started the game.
The DLC comes with 3 new character trophies, Mourning Harley, Harley's Goon's, and Harley's Titan Thug.
I rate this DLC a 4.5 out of 5, because this DLC makes it so Batman doesn't become another dusty game on your shelf. It only got a 4.5 because it didn't give me the option to free roam, in this it's like one big unending mission, because even after you beat the game you can't just free roam, you have to start the entire thing over again. But just like the other Batman games all the details and everything else is great.

Assassin's Creed

Whats not to love about the Assassin's Creed series, the killing/gore of Call of Duty, the similar fighting style of the Batman: Arkham series, the horse riding of Red Dead Redemption, and the fun of parkour that's making it's way into some of the best games. After kidnapped you have to help a strange scientist test something called an "Animus". Sync yourself into the life of your assassin ancestor live an average day in his life. The map itself is huge, and graphics are stunning and only gets better as the game series continues, the voice actors/overs were fit perfectly to their part.
I rate this game a 4.5 out of 5. This is definitely a game to get and make sure to buy/rent the first before getting the others or you will be lost.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

Venom is back for revenge and only Spider-Man can stop him. After defeating Venom in the beginning of the game some of the symbiote on him merges with you, and as New York City slowly turns to a heaping pile of alien goo paradise, you have to make the decision of letting the symbiote control you or fight it and fight on the side of good.
Along the way you can meet up with some familiar friends like Luke Cage, Wolverine, Moon Knight, Black Cat, and of course Mary Jane. Not to mention enemies like King Pin, Electro, Vulture, and Rhino.
Overall the graphics were good. The voice-overs were OK, but personally I thought the voice actors were great and they fit there character perfectly.
You might of heard the game Spider-Man: Web of Shadows: Amazing Allies Edition, well you might as well forget it. It was nothing like the game I'm reviewing and graphics were worse and I don't know what else to say.
This game is overall, good, 4 out of 5. What I like the most personally was that the game showed a darker side to Spider-Man, and I'd like you to give me some feed back about this game if you played it.

Batman: Arkham City

Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, and to sum it up amazing. Just the map of the city renders you scared and wondering if you should continue. If your a hard-core gamer you'll except the challenge and continue this amazing game. The game starts in the city itself when you play as Catwoman and get attacked by Two-Face and his gang while trying to steal from him. It then goes to Bruce Wayne protesting the new "jail" when Hugo Strange's men (the guards) come and take him away and the people their to the jail. Hugo later reveals to know Bruce's secret, and mentions a thing called "Protocol 10" Bruce contacts Alfred (his butler), to send him a suit, Batman has to find out what Protocol 10 is. As I said before the map is huge, and in this game things like side missions are available to do, you might be wondering about the Riddler, don't worry his trophies and riddles are available to solve. New weapons will be able to be discovered through out the game. The graphics are great, and luckily we will be able to see more characters from the DC/Batman Universe, voice-overs are perfect.
Honestly you don't even need to be a fan of Batman or even know anything about him. I rate this game a 5 out of 5

Mafia 2: Jimmy's Vendetta

Jimmy's back another arcade style third-person shooter. After breaking out of prison after being set up and put in jail, he comes back for revenge. Just like the regular story graphics are great and voice overs are terrific with an expanded Empire Bay this game will keep you playing and won't let Mafia II become another waste of a game.

I rate this DLC a 4 out of 5.

Mafia 2: The Betrayal of Jimmy

Jimmy was a good guy, you need someone taken, out you call Jimmy. Now you can go deeper into the Mafia and see more of the Mafia II universe than ever before. But you have to play as Jimmy, and go through an average day in the life of Jimmy. But that life includes killing, stealing, and weakening the Chinese mafia.

The gameplay is like the regular story mode pretty basic like driving cars, and everything is in third person. Aiming is good even though there is no aim bot. Jimmy comes wit the same fighting style and combos as
Vito. Jimmy also owns 4 houses, all of which are the same places that Vito in lived through out the game, including Joe's apartment. The game is also alot like Joe's Adventures because it has alot of similar missions, and an online leaderboard. for when a mission is complete, and you can go back and do any mission at any time.

Details were just like the game, very good. Jimmy's graphics were really good, right down to the spots on his head.

Voice-overs were really good, and Jimmy's voice matched his look perfectly.

There were no dislikes except for a few noticeable glitches here and there.

But overall the DLC was good and gives you a new point of view on the mafia and it's a great way to  expand this Mafia II. but I rate this DLC a 4 out of 5.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Star Wars had the idea to a side from someone on the dark side, who else than Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice. The game showed surprisingly good graphics, but not the best, voice-overs were nt exactly on time but I was a fan of the voice actors choosen. The game came with lots of powers and abillites, but ike most Star Wars games were hard to learn, so if you don't have the time for the hard stuff, then your probably only going t do the basics.
If your a fan of Star Wars, this is the game for you, but I rate it beween 3.5 and 4 out of 5

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman is bringing Joker back to Arkham Aylum again. But this time it's different, there was a blackout at Blackgate prison and all of Jokers goons and anyone else at the prison have been moved to Arkham. Joker and his girlfriend Harley Quinn have taken control of Arkham Island and are letting all the insane inmates and super villains out. Now Batman must stop joker and put all the prisoners back in their cells.
The fighting style is easy to learn you only start off having to use 3 buttons to fight and the freeflow combat makes it easy to jump from one bad guy to the next in one combo. Gadgets can also help you fight like the batarang or batclaw. Gadgets, upgrades, and new combos can be earned through the game by earning points in fighting. Getting around isn't as easy. The area is usually dark so it's hard to see but Detective mode does help you see some of the things you never saw before by highlighting things like gargoyles or show you a clue to your next objective. And here's a hint if you're ever stuck and don't know where to go check all your gadgets or look up for an air duct or a gargoyle.
The island is very old looking and very detailed and well designed. The Rddler is setting up challenges for you, whether it be one of his clues like a picture of Penguin, or one of the Riddlers trophies which are green question marks on a small platform. You should always look around for the Riddlers clues and trophies.
All characters are well designed to from Batman to the henchman all are very well detailed. Although there was not a wide variety of henchmen and most looked and sounded the same. But the voice actors are all great choices like Harley Quinn, Batman and my favorite The Joker who was played by no one other than Mark Hamill a.k.a. Luke Skywalker.
Overall the game was very good, and was even named Game of the Year in 2009. There is plenty of free DLC's including the play as The Joker add-on exclusively for PlayStation Network. I rate this game a 4.5 out of 5.

InFamous 2

InFamous 2 the Shocking sequel to the game that almost every PS3 owner has been looking forward to is here and it's great. The game opens with Cole leaving Empire City with Zeke, why are they leaving, to go fight The Beast. Yes the Beast is here, after your encounter Kessler, and him telling you his life story, you must go to New Marais to get new powers, and fight The Beast.
Unfortunately the original voice for Cole will be replaced, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t fit him perfectly. The voice-overs were even better than the first. The new city of New Marais was based on New Orleans, so expect that there will be a big swamp, and just like the first game water can still harm you.
The character design of Cole has seen a lot of changes over the years, but what character hasn't. Fans of the original Cole were sad to see what Sucker Punch came up with, a character that doesn’t even closely resemble the old Cole. But eventually it was changed back to an outfit that looked similar to Cole's original outfit. Even background characters and enemies have a new look with a more detailed crowd, and reaper foot soldiers will be replaced ten-foot swamp monsters and a militia set to "cleanse" the city, but that's not it there are actually new conduits who you can fight or befriend, that’s right "sane" conduits will be found to help you in your quest to fight The Beast, and an army of ice super soldiers in the next town over.
Gameplay has been made a lot easier thanks to "the Amp", which is just a giant electrified Tuning Fork, but it still makes fighting monsters much easier. But the thing that makes the game truly easier is the powers. Unlike the first game there are no substations to turn on, and turning on cities doesn't give you knew powers, but instead you have to find things called Blast Cores, which are giant Blast Shards that give you new powers.
The game has a new feature UGC (User Generated Content) which is mini missions made by players just like you. So that means you yourself can make one at any time. And if you get tired of seeing them, you can turn them off at any time.
The game was amazing and you should add it to your list of games to get but not before you get the first game. I rate this game a 5 out of 5, because graphics, voice-overs, character designs, and environment are all great, and is a must have for all PlayStation 3 owners..

InFamous 2: Festival of Blood

Just when we thought the InFamous series was over it came back with a new Cole and new enemies. That's right Cole's back, and brings a new enemy with him, Bloody Mary. It's Pyre Night, the night when all of New Marais is in a huge party, why you might be asking, because they're celebrating the day they killed Bloody Mary. Cole was on his way to help people in the catacombs under the St. Ignatius Cathedral when he was attacked and bitten by Bloody Mary herself. Now you must find a way to kill her before sunrise or she'll take control of you forever.

You do receive new abilities like sucking blood to live or to just fuel yourself. Now getting from one place to another has become a lot easier because with the ability to suck blood you can also fly and use vampire sense. You can also use some of the regular powers in story mode, but you can't just swap back and forth between one type of bolt and another.

After being bitten you lose the original Amp but it quickly gets replaced by a large Stake.

UGC (User Generated Content) is also available at any time after downloaded. If you haven't read my InFamous 2 review UGC is mini missions create by players just like you.

Cole also changes with me of his abilities, and when you complete enough UGC you get the Full Vampire Outfit

But overall the DLC was good and I think it deserves a 4 out of 5. And if you love the game this is right for you.

InFamous

InFamous was one of the best games I ever bought for my PS3. The graphics were the best I've ever seen, voice-overs amazing, and story and characters were terrific. After working on Sly Cooper the good people at Sucker Punch wanted to make a new game, after going through a lot of different changes, in 2009 they introduced Cole. Unlike regular hero, or super powered people games, InFamous is more of a dark and twisted type of game but gives the usual awesome feel of being a superhero/villain. Throughout the game, and during missions of doing a good or a bad deed, the course of your reaction wether good or evil will change the environment around you whether it be Empire City itself, what people will think or react to at the site of you, your appearance, and even the missions you do are altered for good or bad.
This game definitely deserves its 5 out of 5 rating and was a great game you have to get before you get the sequel. You should definitely put this on your list of games to get or rent

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

John Marston returns home on a stormy night to his loving family, little does he know that another adventure awaits him. When John's family is attacked and turned into zombies he has to go out and face an army of the undead to save his family or die trying.
The graphics were just like the regular game and were amazing, and background made you feel like you were in an apocalypse from writing on the walls to burning buildings it makes you feel like a chaos has erupted and that death waits around every corner.
Characters were another great feature that made it feel realistic, as you encounter people along your journey knew or not they all have their own distinctive characteristics. You can hear the fear in each of the characters, including shaking stance and overall the way thy act is different in this version of the game.
Voice-overs were great and the voice actors did a great job of portraying the fear in each of their voice even with John Marston you could hear the courage and a bit of fear in his voice being the rough and tough cowboy outlaw he is.
Gameplay was easy to master and pretty basic like other games and if you have any troubles you can change some of the controls to make it make it to what you are used to.
There weren't any problems with the game graphics were good, none of the voices were out of tune, but like Red Dead Redemption there were a couple of glitches nothing that was major but a few noticeable ones but again nothing that really affects you. But I did like how the game gives you new outfits and a new gun the Blunderbuss which is just like the explosive rifle but smaller. The zombies don't look as good as Call of Duty but there was a wide selection, each with different stances, sounds, movements, looks, and attacks
The game is alot like the regular version but filled with zombies. Which just proves that zombies make just about everything better.
Another good feature is that the game also adds on to online. The online features new characters, titles, and a new feature called Undead Overrun that lets you play with friends and see how long you can last against the undead.

Red Dead Redemption

RDR is my favorite time based game. The game is based in the time of the dying west 1911. and John Marston has to save his family. this game has tons of games, horses and cheats the game was longer than I expected and was very fun. graphics were the best I've seen in a video game (right next to InFamous 2) and the character design and side missions were great not to mention terrific voice- overs, and controls were easy to learn and if you couldn't understand were easy to change.
I definitely recommend this game and its a 5 out of 5 for me

Mafia 2: Joe's Adventures

Joe wakes up to a regular morning, until he looks out side and sees Vito being arrested. Now Joe has to find the people who ratted out Vito, and kill them. Now you get the chance to explore undiscovered parts of Empire Bay and work for new people.

Gameplay was the same, aiming was good driving was easy and everything else was basic. Joe also comes wit his own fighting style and combo's which also makes the game a bit more believable. also when you beat the game you can go back and do any mission you've beat before or freeroam. Cops still come after you for committing a crime but you can just bribe them or change your outfit.

Graphics were the same, really good for a bit of an older game. The DLC also includes new outfits, like Joe's normal outfit and a new variety of suits and shirts.

Voice-overs were good, Joe sounded the same, and the voice actor who played Joe did a great job of changing voice tone and Joe's voice matched him perfectly.

There were no dislikes for the DLC, but like the game there were a few glitches mostly involving car crashes. But the glitches were worth it, for a great game.

Again there was no multiplayer, but there was an online leaderboard for when a mission is beat. And you can go back and do any mission again at any time for a higher score.

Overall the DLC was good, and if you own Mafia II this definitely needs to be the first DLC you get. I rate this DLC a 4 out of 5 because the DLC is like a behind the scenes, while your in prison, Joe's doing what Joe does best.
